Question:
Describe your scenario.
In a few short paragraphs, describe the project scenario for your software development or implementation project. Answer the following:
- Who is the client? What's the company? How big is it? Where is it located?
- What are the pain points and needs stakeholders/users are experiencing? What are their main problems or challenges?
Part 2: Describe the vision and scope.
Write a short paragraph describing the project vision for your software development or implementation project. This is the longer-term, ideal vision for the solution that the business hopes to achieve.
Write a short paragraph describing the scope of the project. What parts of the vision will you realize in this project? Consider not only what's in scope, but also what part of your project vision will be out of scope for the project. (There is no need to go into a detailed scope, but describe at a high level the features or components that will be included.)
Part 3: Document your business requirements.
Document the following, based on the scenario you created above:
- 3 Business Objectives based on the scenario
- 3 Success Metrics that are incremental measures of your Business Objectives
- 3 Business Risks based on implementing or not implementing the solution
- 3 Assumptions and/or Dependencies related to the scenario
