Design control circuits to operate single solenoid valves for one-cylinder and two-cylinder sequences. Activity: Sketch the ladder
Question:
Design control circuits to operate single solenoid valves for one-cylinder and two-cylinder sequences.
Activity: Sketch the ladder logic circuit for Single Cylinder Reciprocation, Memory Circuit, and Inhibit Repetion, with the given instructions. (3 diagrams in total).
Part 1: Single Cylinder Reciprocation Design, build and test a circuit for the following sequence: Momentarily press PB1, Cylinder B extends fully, then Cylinder B retracts fully. (Sequence will repeat if PB1 continues to be pressed). Part 2: Memory Circuit Design, build and test a control circuit for the following sequence: B+, D+, (B- & D-) Incorporate the following controls: If SW1 is OFF, sequence will start single cycle when PB1 is pressed, restarting if PB1 remains depressed. If SW1 is ON, momentarily pressing PB1 will start continuous cycles, operating until PB2 is momentarily pressed. In either case, sequence will stop at end of cycle. Part 3: Inhibit Repetion Modify the circuit from part 2 so that momentarily pressing PB1 will start a single cycle only. The cycle must not repeat unless PB1 is released and pressed again. (SW1 and PB2 will be removed from the control circuit).
