Classroom teaching philosophies help guide all aspects of a teacher's practice in and out of the classroom. It is a way to organize your teaching methods and practices. The development of a philosophy also helps teachers clearly define the type of learning environment they will create for children and families.
How to do it?
You should write your teaching philosophy in first-person present tense. You want others to know your personal beliefs are based on being a reflective practitioner and your ideas are supported by best practices. To help you develop a strong inclusive philosophy, you will utilize two different peer reviewed articles to support some of your beliefs about learning, teaching and child behaviors.
Your philosophy should consists of the following sections:
