1. These readings focus on the Homefront in WWII. Some relate to the college experience specifically and some are more general about the changes that WWII wrought. What do you see as the most important impact of WWII on the Homefront? How would you expect this to show up in a place like what was then called the Maryland State Normal School (TU today)? What hypotheses can you make from the reading and can you connect that hypothesis directly to the reading? What kinds of primary sources in the University Archives might you look at to see how WWII affected TU?
2. A key phrase here is the idea of the personal is political--the Redstockings say this. What does this mean? How is this tied to ideas about where oppressions comes from and how to fight it?

These readings focus on the motives of two groups working to change the ways women in the 1960s and 1970s were treated. What are the women who wrote these documents calling out? What is the source, according to these documents, of women's oppression? Do the Radicalesbians make any distinctions with the position of the Redstockings? Thinking about these documents in relation to those we have read about the Free Speech Movement, Civil Rights movements, and Anti-War protests, what parallels do you see?
