Financial literacy is important because it helps people become self-sufficient and achieve financial stability. This includes saving money, distinguishing the difference between wants and needs, managing a budget, paying bills, buying a home, paying for college, and planning retirement. Financial literacy helps people create a realistic roadmap that will take them through their daily lives, making sound financial decisions. For Part 1 of the presentation assignment, you will select three of the following topics relating to financial literacy. Know that you are not limited to these topics and can choose other topics you find in the textbook. Give the topic selection process serious consideration because you will be submitting a presentation on one of your selected topics in Week 7. Feel free to contact your instructor for guidance if you need to do so. • College financing Student loans . Investing • Retirement Saving money Building credit • Debt . Budgeting · Insurance • Taxes Once you have selected your three topics, you will write a minimum of one paragraph for each topic discussing why you chose the topic and how it is interesting and important to you. Your professor will review your selected topics and s/he will approve one that you will use through the course. Be sure to check your assignment feedback for the selected topic. Immediately contact your professor if you don't know how to do this! Be as thorough as possible when writing your assignment, and remember, this is an academic assignment, so no "text-talk." no conversational tone, and ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS... don't plagiarize!! Lastly, spell-check and proofread your work! Failure to follow these steps will negatively impact your grade. For this course, you will submit the graded activity using Turnitin. An Originality Report will become available within a few minutes after your first submission. Inside the Originality Report will be a Similarity Index. The Similarity Index shows a percentage of the material in your paper that matches other sources found by Turnitin. You will be expected to have a Similarity Index of less than 20%. If your Similarity. Index is greater than 20% you will need to review your Originality Report to be sure that you have paraphrased your work appropriately, and cited your sources correctly and you will be required to resubmit to Turnitin. pas Dat Joir Star Go t Sup Click GM Click Mo Cour C Financial literacy is important because it helps people become self-sufficient and achieve financial stability.
