Find three economics-based articles from within the last month or so that attract your attention (Global sites of interest: http://www.businesseconomics.com/best-news-sites.html#.WmAJsd-nE2w; Canadian sites of interest: https://www.bnn.ca/, http://business.financialpost.com/category/news/economy). You are welcome to locate websites, print articles, or other economics-based articles as you please.

For each article, produce a brief outline, either in point form or as an annotated paragraph highlighting the key content and insights of the article (1/3 of a page each, for a page in total). You are not giving an opinion, but noting the facts stated and observed.

Next, after offering an overview for each article, cover in a half page to a page for each, the following:

What is happening in this article (economically speaking - and in consideration of consumer or political realities)? That is, what economic effects are you observing in relation to KEY TERMS you have been studying until now.

After identifying a key insight from each article, extend the insight to another reality you are able to observe in the local or national economy (i.e. if an article was about a tax burden, consider ways that this burden might be at play in your community/country or how it has effect on the average Canadian citizen by drawing attention to realities you see at play; use terms from the course as you are able).

Evaluate ONE article in terms of an economic theory or policy that you might consider putting in place. Explain how the policy will be effective in solving an economic problem? Consider any short/long term effects/consequences ... Advantages and disadvantages ... How are stakeholders affected?

Finally, produce at least ONE diagram to show/explain the economics of what is happening, in this case referring to only ONE article.

Feel free to identify anything else that you relate to economics or to values that you care about which bear economic effects.
