For the Critical Thinking subdomain, my goal is to be able to thoroughly examine and understand material gathered to make logical decision. To be effective, critical thinking must be conducted objectively, which is free from the influence of one's own prejudices, sentiments, or ideas which is something I hope to be able to do with further practice.

As part of the Assumption-related decision-making subdomain, my goal is to improve my decision-making by approaching the issue with an open mind and sincere desire to learn more. In other words, I would like to be more conscious of my false assumptions and bias to mitigate the impact they have on my decision-making.

My last goal for the Cognition and Reflection subdomain, is to better engage in reflective thinking to examine the wider picture and all of its ramifications. I feel that I am often pressed for time in life and do not take time to reflect on what worked, what went wrong, and how to learn from an incident.

how will you know you are making progress on this goal? How will you know when you have completed or reached this goal? Might there be a smaller SMART goal that you can develop that will help you reach this larger ongoing long-term goal?

An example of a SMART goal for Personal Branding might be, to become a better public speaker. I want to accomplish this by the end of the year (2022). I will accomplish this by joining the local chapter of Toastmasters on the first of June 2022. I will attend weekly meetings and make weekly presentations to the group. Each week after my presentations, the group will provide feedback on my presentations along with specific steps I can take to improve. At the end of 2022, I will ask the panel to provide a review of my progress from June through my final presentation in December.

This is just an example of a SMART goal along with specific steps to achieve this professional goal.
