For this assignment, read the scenarios below and critique the etiquette in each. Using bullet points for your responses is preferable. Scenario 1: Read the email below and explain what Jane Doe did well in the email (at least two things) and what she should have done better (at least two things). To: xyz@xyz.com Subject: hello Dear Mr. Smith, I am writing to let you know that your order has been delayed. IMO, you should expect it by Thursday. Sincerely, Jane Doe Scenario 2: Read the following account of a business dinner and evaluate the etiquette of Frank and Joe. Frank and Joe have both been invited to a dinner with senior managers, Sally and Ted. Frank arrives first and shakes hands with Ted when he comes in. When everyone is seated, Frank and Joe place their napkins on their laps. Frank is the first to order and orders spaghetti and a glass of red wine. Sally orders soup and a salad with water. Ted orders eggplant parmesan with white wine, and Joe orders the fish special with a soda. After he orders, Joe helps himself to a slice of bread, butters and eats it, he does not offer to pass the bread. When the food arrives, Frank is really hungry so he begins to eat before all the plates have been set on the table. During dinner, Joe receives a phone call from his wife. He takes the call at the table, but talks for only a minute or two. Later, Frank excuses himself and leaves to use the restroom and he places his napkin on the table next to his plate. When they get up to leave Joe thanks, both Sally and Ted, for a nice meal and shakes hands with each of them. How did Frank and Joe do at their business dinner? Identify two etiquette practices Frank and Joe each did well, and two things each could have done better. For this assignment, read the scenarios below and critique the etiquette in each.
