1. Leadership Structure of the family: come up with a basic organizational chart This is designed to show the leadership structure ie. who holds power, who makes the decisions etc. It will also give you insights into the approach to leadership communication. 

 

2. Information Dissemination: How information is passed to members of the family: top-down or horizontal? Give an example. 

 

3. Communication Strategy: Is there an agreed-upon communication strategy for how members of the family receive information, or is communication more haphazard? 

 

4. Communication Tactics (methods, forms, channels): What are the methods of communication used (meetings, texts, phone calls, social media), and which is the most dominant and why? 

 

5. Audience (Family members): Are there different messages and different tactics used to communicate with different family members?

 

 6. Evaluate Effectiveness: How effective are these communication tactics? Could communication in your family be more effective? In what ways - if any - could it be improved? 

7. Translation to Corporate Context: Could your family's strategy and mode of communication translate to an organizational/corporate setting? Give reasons for your answer. Why or Why not?
