Specific Purpose: To inform my classmates about the importance of Early Childhood Education Central Idea: When a child gets the chance to build a strong foundation for education from the very start, we set them up for success in the future. Introduction: 1. Have you ever considered having your young one participates in an early childhood education program? "People tend to believe it's about a babysitter and playtime, but early childhood education is about building. 2. an education foundation and maintaining educational milestones" (Stacy M Brown. When a child participates in a quality childcare or preschool setting are given the appropriate tools to succeed in their education. 1. Children with access to quality childcare or preschools are less likely to repeat grades. 2. A quality preschool can boost a child's achievement as a student. TRANSITIONAL STATEMENT: II. As part of early childhood education, we are taught and develop our cognitive skills. A. Cognitive skills are essential in our overall development because it has to do with our brain's function. 1. Reading, learning, thinking, and paying attention are just a few cognitive skills we develop. 2. We use cognitive skills daily, including problem-solving and decision-making. B. Children learn how to figure things out on their own, how to explore, and how to think when developing cognitive skills. 1. We develop these life skills through Play. 2. When a child is at Play, that child is learning. TRANSITIONAL STATEMENT: III. Playing is an essential part of learning in Early childhood education. "Experience precedes understanding." - Jean Piaget. A. Play is how a child practices and enforces their learning. 1. When at Play, a child can be more relaxed so that learning can be enjoyable. 2. Play gives a child a sense of adventure as they learn! B. Children learn best by experiencing firsthand, and Play allows this by providing stimulation and motivation. 1. When a child engages in imaginary real-life Play, it challenges their thinking skills. 2. Learning to share or take turns is practiced at Play without the child knowing. Conclusion: I. To sum up, early childhood education is crucial for everyone. II. With early childhood education, we build and strengthen our social skills. We learn and develop our cognitive skills, which are crucial lifetime skills, as a part of early childhood education, and playing is a vital component of learning in! III. Early childhood education is crucial to ensuring our kids' futures and giving them a strong foundation for their academic pursuits.
