It was just announced that the US life expectancy slightly increased last year after a decline in the last 2 years. Babies born in 2022 are expected to live 77.5 years, up from 76. 4 in 2021. Covid was the culprit for why life expectancy dipped. For extra credit, find out the life expectancy for each decade from 1900-2020 (1900, 1910, 1920, etc). Make a table of the year and the life expectancy for each decade. Then come up with a reason that the life expectancy increased or decreased each decade. Such as during the 1940s life expectancy decreased because of WWII, but in the 1950's it increased due to the babyboom (these are just guesses) .
