Looking for a little direction in answering this post; Regulations can and do play a massive part
Question:
Looking for a little direction in answering this post; Regulations can and do play a massive part in how a company operates. For instance, safety is a regulation that can make or break a company. If you have a lot of injuries or safety non-compliance violations, the government will come in and start issuing fines, then will and could shut you down if you get it under control. We have regulations that control how much pollution a factory can emit. For example, getting a coal-fired power plant compliant with pollution is expensive. The company can only absorb so much of the cost, and the rest gets passed to the consumer. Suppliers can have specific requirements that must be maintained. If you are not following those requirements, they could choose a company that will meet them.
