Memorizing has its place. In my Catholic education I had to memorize parts of the Bible. In grammar school the multiplication tables. In high school I had to memorize speeches. In Army Aviation I had to memorize hundreds of emergency procedures. I liked college because it encouraged free thinking, original ideas and what if's. The Buddha would say that the extremes (the outliers of a normal distribution) are not the solution. The middle way is the way. The journey is the end. What do you think?
