Mr$.$ Frimpong is a used clothing dealer in Accra. The business recorded a turnover of Ghs$75,000$ in $2017.$ During the year, Mr$.$ Frimpong had the following expenditures, receipts and transactions:

$1.$ He spent Ghs$3,000$ for the repairs of his business premises.

$2.$ He spent Ghs$5,000$ in a propaganda campaign to oppose the prohibition of the importation and sale of used clothing in the country by the Government.

$3.$ He borrowed Ghs$7,000$ from Ghana Commercial Bank for the purchase of used clothing. The interest on the loan was $20\%$ per annum, which he duly paid.

$4.$ He sued his competitors for libel in a business communication. He spent Ghs$750$ on legal expenses.

$5.$ He spent Ghs$500$ on dinner at the Holiday Inn Hotel with some of his customers, friends and relatives.

$6.$ He paid Ghs$350$ at the AMA Sanitation Tribunal for failing to keep the surroundings of his business premises clean.

$7.$ He recovered Ghs$400$ in respect of an earlier debt, which had been allowed by the Commissioner$-$General to be written off as bad debt.

Mr$.$ Frimpong is married to Mrs$.$ Afua Nyarko. They are blessed with three children. Two of the kids attend Ghana International School while the other child attends Matyrs International School in the United Kingdom.
