Mr. Kishore is Manager of the automobile underwriting department of the Regional office in Visakhapatnam. Over the past two years, there has been a 43% increase in the number of policies written in this department. This large increase in business has resulted in a problem for Mr. Kishore. A backlog of policy applications has built up over the past few months and despite Kishore’s efforts, the department just cannot get caught up.
