Question:
Need help to answer a post: I see several pieces I can complete immediately using the nine segments of the business model canvas. I am proposing a business model for a new Value Resort in Disney. The Customer Segment will be easy to identify as I target guests visiting parks and resorts, such as families and adults ages 2-55. Value Proposition is also easy. It will determine the value this resort would bring to these customers. Because Disney has a high volume of middle-class families as parkgoers, a new Value resort would give families a new/additional lodging option that would be more affordable.
Cost Structure, Key Resources, and Key partnerships will be a little harder to identify as I will need to research the cost associated with refurbishing the existing outdated hotel that we have chosen to reimagine; it will also be challenging to find key resources for the art/theme and layout of the new hotel, as well as the key partnerships we will need to acquire the products and services need for the remodel as well as the collaboration for the in-house restaurant.
The segment I had not considered so far was the revenue streams. Of course, we will receive revenue from the hotel and the restaurant. Still, I hadn't given much thought to additional services or gift shops for merchandise; another was the new hotel could bring in revenue to Disney. This is a segment I will need to further develop as what we sell and what services we serve?
