Now, this week, we're going to use another rating and comparison tool. First, check out this link about the Leapfrog Group. They call themselves a "non-profit watchdog group." They are made up of healthcare purchasers, such as employers and payers, and they conduct various surveys to come up with safety ratings of hospitals. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,700 U.S. hospitals based on their ability to prevent harm. Now, go to the Leapfrog hospital rating page at this link. Look up a hospital with which you are familiar. (If you are using a hospital as your project, I would suggest using it). After you get the ratings for your hospital, which specific rating(s) did your hospital excel at? There might be many so choose one or two. In which elements was it rated poorly? Can you find a metric that indicates why it performed below achievement? What do you think of Leapfrog, overall?
