Objectives: 1. Build a model and simulate the operation of a separately excited DC motor 2. Plot the terminal characteristic for a separately excited DC motor Components: Use the following components to build the model: DC motor, two DC voltage sources, scope, two displays, dermux, gain, constant and powergui blocks. pewwge ele Procedure: 1. Open the electrical specialized power systems main library. 2. Open a new blank model to contain your model circuit and save it. 3. Connect the voltage sources to the field and armature circuits. 4. Connect the constant block to the torque input of the DC machine model. 5. Connect the measurement output to the scope through the demux block. 6. Connect the display blocks to the speed and torque measurements. 7. Select the first preset DC machine model. 8. Set the armature voltage, field voltage and torque inputs according to the selected motor ratings. 9. Use a gain block to display the speed in rpm, 10.
