Q1. Medtronic produces three types of medical equipment (ME1, ME2, ME3) at three different plants (P1, P2, P3) during the next two months. In this context, Medtronic wants to reveal the planning of the next two months. All medical equipment in the same plant has the same process time. The process time required for each medical equipment varies only depending on the plant. Related table is given in Table-1.Sales prices of each type of equipment are $100, $120 and $150 in orderly. Regardless of which production plan, it is produced, it is expected that a total of 100 medical equipments from each type will be produced at the end of the first month and 150 equipments from each type at the end of the second month. All products produced should be transported to the main center at the end of each month. Service charges for transmissions per product from each plant to the main center are $5, $10 and $15, respectively. Each plant is open 50 hours per week to production. a) Formulate Medtronic's planning for two months in closed form. Then transfer your mathematical model in closed form to GAMS to solve the problem. b) Obtain the solution report and write your results (decision variable levels, nonbasic variables, basic variables, objective function value..) c) Take the sensitivity report and please interpret it in detail. (slack or surplus value, marginal value for both equations and decision variables..) Table 1 Plant P1 P2 P3 ME (1) 60 50 43 Cost($) ME (2) 40 30 20 ME (3) 28 30 20 Time (hours) 10 12 15 Q1.
