(Question 1) Arryn Bhd produces furniture which is made in three processes. The following information was made available on each process. Process 1 Direct material Direct labour Direct expenses 3,500kg @ RM5 200 hours @ RM4 RM2,000 Output at process 1 is 3,000 units with 500 units of normal loss. The overhead is absorbed at 90% of direct expenses. Any losses may be sold at RM1.00 per kg. Process 2 Direct material Direct labour Direct expenses 1,000kg @ RM3 200 hours @ RM5 RM4,000 The overhead recorded was RM3,600. Output generated was 3,400 units with normal loss of 10% from total input. Losses can be sold at RM1.20 per kg.
