Suppose you are interested in working with the following random variable whose possible values are 0 to :

X= the number of minutes between two customers arriving at a bank.

For this problem, it has been found that the "exponential" distribution is useful.(Note: You will not find this distribution in the lecture notes.) Just as working with the normal distribution requires knowing themeanmand the standard deviations, so the exponential distribution requires knowing one value:

l= the average number of customers arrive at the bank per minutes.
