Question:
Read the following scenario and answer all questions: A team has been working on Project X for a long time and a lot of money has been spent on working towards a viable solution. Project X could potentially contribute 70% to the company’s revenue for the next 2 financial years. This project, however, is controversial and some of the managers and employees are opposed to it. There are indications that it could have a negative effect on the environment, but more research in this regard is needed. The team has looked at a variety of solutions but have not been able to provide a more viable and more suitable solution. This situation has created a lot of conflict and the project manager for Project X resigned as a result. You have been asked to take over as project manager, because of your experience and track record with the company. The CEO is putting pressure on you to start working on a prototype and implementing the solution as soon as possible. He is of the opinion that the negative environmental impact can be offset in some way. He has shared the personal problem-solving profiles of your team members - derived from the Herrmann Brain Dominance Assessment – with you. They have not consented to the information being shared. The CEO wants you to use the profiles to try and influence each team member to support the project and the solution.
