Read the following scenarios. Answer the questions that follow, and share your responses for each scenario with your classmates in this discussion forum. Scenario 1: Marie, Jamie, and Xiao are classmates and were assigned to work together on a group project. Throughout the project, Jill and Xiao had difficulty communicating with Marie. They emailed her many times and she did not respond. By the time the deadline came, Marie had not contributed anything to the project and they were very upset. At the end of the course, Jill and Xiao both commented on the course evaluation that the instructor should be more responsible and pay more attention to what is happening in the groups. The instructor was surprised because this was the first time she heard of the problem. Did Jill and Xiao handle this effectively? Provide a rationale for your answer. Scenario 2: You are a student and you really do not like your instructor. You think that he marks way too harshly, is sometimes a little rude, and is often unprepared for class. Recently, you received a 45% on a report that you submitted and you have no idea why. You emailed the Program Coordinator to ask about your grade, and also to make a formal report against the instructor. Did you handle this correctly? Why or why not? Scenario 3: Your workplace is working on a charity fundraising event. All employees have some tasks to make sure this event is successful. On your team is the CEO, the custodian, and the assistant to the vice president. You are an administrative office assistant and work primarily at the front desk. Your role on the team is to arrange a pianist to play during dinner. The CEO is in charge of emailing invites to clients. The custodian and assistant to the vice president are in charge of meal planning. The CEO asks you to send the emails. You ask the assistant to create a contract for the pianist Are these requests appropriate? Why or why not? Read the following scenarios.
