Social media is often distorting our opinions and viewpoints on a variety of people, places, and things (ie. gun control, living a vegan lifestyle, police brutality, women's rights, celebrity news, politicians, relationship advice, raising children, investing in crypto, etc.). For this assignment, you are to find a post on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Tiktok, or YouTube) where the influencer and/or account holder expressed their point of view about a single subject. You will debate the opinion of the influencer/account holder, by applying your viewpoints to each position on the Pillow Method, to express viewpoints of this subject from each of the five positions of the Pillow Method. This will challenge you to "think outside the box" in an attempt to see the media influencer's opinion from their perspective, as well as your own. Be sure to state the following in the beginning of your assignment: -social media format where you found the post -name of the social media influencer (public profiles only) -title of video (if using a YouTube video) Social media is often distorting our opinions and viewpoints on a variety of people, places, and things (ie. gun control, living a vegan lifestyle, police brutality, women's rights, celebrity news, politicians, relationship advice, raising children, investing in crypto, etc.).
