Task: You are asked to create a 2-to-3-minute digital video showcasing your personal brand in a job search context. 1- Start your video with your elevator pitch. Think carefully about your targeted audience (what is the post/industry you are targeting? State it clearly in this introductory statement) and what/how you want to present your brand. 2- In the rest of the video, present your personal brand and its key relevant dimensions (brand promise, values/beliefs, personality, expertise, POD, USP, brand story, ...). I strongly encourage you to review the personal brand lectures. I need to evaluate, via this video, if you have understood what personal brand(ing) is by the way you applied it to yourself. That does not mean that I want you to give definitions and explain the theory regarding personal branding! Do not just simply read your CV, list your strengths and professional experience from bullet points on a PowerPoint slide. You need to provide engaging content that will make the viewer want to shortlist you for an interview. Be detail-orientated, e.g. remember the 'visual' dimension of your brand (what you wear? Body language? voice projection, background of your video, sounds, etc ... everything that will reinforce the image you wish to project to your audience). Do prepare and rehearse before you record the video. Produce something that you would confidently send to a prospective recruiter to land your dream job.
