Question:
The internship I applied for is a Sports Marketing and Communications internship with the company Athlitics:
What is Athlinics?
Our newly imagined sports clinic focuses on inspiring the next generation of youth athletes with coaching and mentorship from college athletes. With the recent changes in NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), our program allows college athletes the ability to train the youth community. While an essential component of our mission is to improve a player’s skills and fundamentals, the core purpose takes a step further. We aim to help young athletes understand what it means to be an athlete at the next level, how to achieve this goal, and the recruitment journey for success. College players have the unique ability to connect and motivate the next generation of athletes. At Athlinics, we facilitate comprehensible discussions for young players to learn about college athletics. So while improving one’s game is important, our additional function at Athlinics is to educate the youth on the next step in the athletic journey.
Summary of internship: Are you a passionate sports enthusiast who loves connecting with people? Do you have a knack for marketing and communication? Are you interested in building a budding sports business? We are looking for a sports marketing and communication intern to join the Athlinics team, an NIL-based startup, that connects youth athletes, the players, to college athletes, the coaches, across the nation in the form of sports clinics. Our mission is two-fold: improve and develop skills while educating young sportsmen and women on the athletic journey and what it means to take the next step toward playing at the collegiate level.
