The most interesting concept I've learned is about real estate investments. There's so much money to be made in all the different types available. Having worked at Warner Center, I could only imagine how much each company was leasing the office buildings for, and how long the leases were. I wondered what type of person could have the money to invest in properties of that size, little did I know that I, too, could invest in this (albeit an extremely tiny fraction of it). As learned in Chapter Twelve, we could invest in properties through Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) on public stock exchanges.
