The Supply Chain Game is an online supply network simulator. Students compete against each other in two
Question:
The Supply Chain Game is an online supply network simulator. Students compete against each other in two assignments lasting a week each. To meet different demand patterns in five regions, student teams set production and inventory control parameters, transportation choices, and add new factories and warehouses. The objective of the game is to maximize cash position at the end of the game (Responsive.net). This simulation will run in two weeks, each with a separate assignment that has ongoing decisions for that week. The two assignments for the simulation are described below. Read instructions for each of the assignments in this simulation as well as the Instruction Sheets that will be provided by the Simulation Company.
You will be making your own decisions to run a company, monitoring, and recording these decisions throughout Units 4 and 5. This document should contain the following:
What was the rationale behind your decisions?
How would you explain/justify your company's performance?
How would you change your decisions retrospectively to improve performance?
How did you use data to make your decisions? How would you connect your simulation experience to concepts learned throughout the supply chain courses?
What did you learn about supply chain performance through this exercise?
