The use of a test where a particular group scores low is unethical, if the school does not further investigate why these low scores are occurring. There are many factors that impact test scores, and without scientific evidence, it is hard to know whether bias exists (Cohen et al, 2022). This test could suffer from intercept bias, which is when the use of a predictor leads to an overestimation or underestimation of a certain group's performance (Cohen et al, 2022)
