This course has taken you through the history of the automobile, with all its twists and turns. The designs have changed with the influence of the cultures and needs of the buyers and by the designers themselves. The future evolution from an energy standpoint seems certain. The flying cars while a fun idea may be too chaotic for us in the short term so given humans will still have to get around, what do you propose will be the future of transportation. Do your research because there are many varied ideas being floated around.

This ISA is based on current understanding of the transportation/energy challenges we are facing coupled with the knowledge that humans will still be travelling in 30-50-100 years from now. Are cars going away? Is mass transit the solution? Can we rely on all energy sectors cooperating? All important questions, you do the research and give a well referenced response.

.The paper must include examples of research from the auto manufacturing sector, the energy sector (search Automotive Energy Sector), and environmental groups (search the CEPA and the EPA in the US). (30%)

2. This is a technical paper as well as an opinion piece. Nobody can predict the future accurately, but you can base your prediction on the future of the automobile by looking at shifts in manufacturing and the needs of society. If there are people researching alternative fuels is there a lot of funding for that development? Do some digging and report your findings. (30%)

3.IN YOUR OWN WORDS what is our future within the auto sector. Designs change, autonomous cars are starting to appear, there are so many changes now in design that anything is possible. Use your understanding of design, based on need and practicality along with people's desire for individuality and independence, and describe (draw if you can) what the car of the future will look like. Explain your modifications to meet the next era in automotive design. (30%)

4.Format: You must include a title page with an image, an opening paragraph introducing your claim, at least 3 references (properly cited), and a concluding paragraph (also properly referenced) (5%)
