This Plan Your Own Funeral exercise is designed to promote consideration of end of life choices that we should be prepared to make. The objective is to give you the opportunity to:
• Understand the process of decision making for end of life planning and the cost involved.
• Write the paper from a perspective that you have lived a long full life (died at the age of 90+)
• Write a 2 to 4 page paper describing your perfect funeral. Address the bullets listed below.

A. Visit a funeral-planning site of your choice (Google "funeral planning). 
B. Make decisions regarding the type of funeral that you would like like by addressing each of the prompts below:

• Traditional vs non-traditional 
• Cremation vs burial 
• Memorial vs actual funeral 
• Music 
• Clothing

• Photos

• Party after; wake; family gathering 
• Cost (facility rental, plot, casket/urn, transportation, speaker, flowers, repast/reception, headstone) Budget should be very detailed
• Guests at the service 
• What would you like your obituary to say about you (you may include the obituary/eulogy in your paper) and who will read your eulogy?
