Question:
This project requires (i.e., problems students often encounter at school, at home and/or at work) and then apply quantitative methods learnt in class to analyze and solve those problems. The number of problemsstudied in theproject (problems canbe independent andhave no relationships to the others, or problems can be closely interrelated) should be no less than the number of group members. Furthermore, each group is required to apply at least two different quantitative methods in the project. The eligible quantitative methods that can be used in the project include the following:
break-even analysis
linear programming
integer programming
project management (CPM and/or PERT)
queuing analysis (single server queuing system and/or multiple server queuing system)
forecasting (time series methods)
decision analysis (decision making with or without knowing probability of future events)
