This week, we are continuing our focus on the Romantic Period (1820-1900) Music History. I have included a link with the "Top Ten Composers" of the Romantic Period, (and other material you need for this post). Discussion Topic: How did the music of the nineteenth century reflect the romantic composer's desire for a closer union between music and the other arts? You will want to think about how opera, (wildly pupular during the Romantic Period), ties many art forms together. Sometimes opera is based on a previously written story, so that would be how it ties in with literature. Opera also takes composers, conductors, instrumentalists, singers, seamstresses, carpenters and painters, etc. to make a production come to life. Your main post should be 150 words, as always, with follow ups of 75 words each to two of your peers. Composers: https://www.gramophone.co.uk/features/article/top-10-romantic- composers-updated-2019 https://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Romantic_music https://courses.lumenlearning.com/musicapp- medievaltomodern/chapter/romantic-era-explored/ https://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Romantic_music This week, we are continuing our focus on the Romantic Period (1820-1900) Music History.
