Two circular disks are spinning at the same rate, meaning that their angular velocities are the same. The bigger disk has radius of 2m. The smaller disk has radius of 1m. How many times is the tangential velocity for an object located at the edge of the bigger disk compared to another that is located at the edge of the smaller disk? Following the previous question, if an object is fastened at 1m away from the center of the bigger disk, how does its tangential velocity compare with the tangential velocity of something at the edge of the smaller (1m radius) disk?
