Two gears in mesh have number of teeth as 60 and 40 respectively. It is assumed that

the gears have the pressure angle of 20 degree. The module for meshing gears is same

and module = 3 mm. The addendum for both the gears is 0.318 of the circular pitch.

The smaller gear rotates at 800 rpm. Find the velocity of sliding when the contact

point is at the tip of the tooth for smaller gear.
