Question:
What are the User Requirements for this? :
The "type of crime" must take one of five values: "Violence", "Sexual Offence", "Robbery",
"Burglary" or "Theft". The data if a crime is "solved" must be recorded as Yes or No.
The date of a crime must be a date before the current date (today). Thus, no future date can be entered. The details to be held for each criminal - a unique criminal number, name, address, age. A criminal can be added to the database even if they have not committed a crime within a borough. Juvenile and elderly crime is recorded on a different database; therefore, "age" of a criminal must be within the range of 18-65.
For each borough, the borough name and population are to be recorded. The Chief Inspector wishes to receive a monthly report that compares crime rates to population within the various boroughs. Each officer is given a unique officer number. The Chief Inspector wishes to know the full name of the officer, their address, the date they started employment and the details of their supervising Sergeant. One Sergeant can oversee many officers. The Sergeant details should include their unique Sergeant number, their name and address. Not all Sergeants may be supervising Officers.
Access to the database should be restricted. Officers are not allowed to view the data held on Sergeants. Make any necessary assumptions for this scenario.
