When starting a public strategic planning process, which includes internal organizational stakeholders, should buy-in also derive from the local citizenry?
But from what I can discern, getting feedback is the desired outcome. It seems most of us in this class agree with this. It still leaves the question I keep raising for the group, how. much of it do you accept and how do you tell what is the majority opinion? It will not be easy and you have to be prepared to respond to those who may be disappointed that their opinion was not heeded. It. harkens back to that famous President Lincoln comment about pleasing the majority but not everyone.
