Question:
When writing out a diagnostic clinical impression in psychology sometimes the use of z codes/other factors is pertinent in order to include any information that may be clinically relevant to the case. In regard to "(Z63.8) High Expressed Emotion Level Within Family" what is an example of high expressed emotion level. When looking it up online, it says that it includes behaviors that could be hostile or highly critical, and there are plenty of articles that connect it to schizoaffective disorders. What exactly does this look like? Would it be something explosive? or could be something like a parent who is openly criticizing a child for wanting to play with toys that stereotypically are assigned to a different gender role? or is it something more intense than that?
