While in U.S.A. we may be most familiar with Tesla in the electric vehicle market, it is behind other companies in other markets. Worldwide, BYD sold 50% more vehicles than Tesla in 2022, and it has a much broader product range. The auto market truly is global, and in order to understand this industry, it is important to understand how large auto companies vary their product offerings and pricing in different countries. Some of this is based on differences in how consumers in different countries view various features, while nature of competition also plays a role.
