Question:
While it may feel like it, this portion of your grade (answering chapter discussion questions), is not busy work. Their purpose is to (1) get you into the book, (2) provide a direction when reading, (3) ensure you pick-up the more important concepts, and (4) have you consider, reflect, observe, question, etc., what you are reading. Research shows that writing helps a person learn concepts, facts, etc., so essentially answering these questions helps you better understand, or
"get" the knowledge and information the author is trying to impart.
When responding to the questions, rarely will a sentence or two suffice for a response, though four or five could. It is important that you do not simply quote the book back as your response; rather, while it might be OK to use a quote from the book, you need to provide a context, reason, and/or explanation to unpack your meaning. All that being said, do not use filler or fluff to fill what you consider space (or void) to fill. If there is little or no meaningful discussion provided, your score will reflect that. Each set of questions is worth 100 points.
Each set of questions (i.e., Introduction, Ch 1, Ch 2, etc.) submitted is to be separate (i.e., Introduction is one submission, Ch 1 is one submission, etc.). For each set of questions, use the question as a heading.
