With a partner or alone, wire a patch cable. Use this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lullzS740wI )as a guide.For this exercise, you will need:

1. RJ45 stripper/cutter, and a crimping tool
2. Cat 5e networking cable (stranded recommended)
3. Cat 5eRJ45 connectors (at least two)

For #1, there are tools at Home Depot or Lowes in the Data Communication aisle. Watch the reviews - a crimper likethiswill be better in the long run than a cheaper one. For #3, also look at Home Depot or Lowes. For #2, you can buy cable in a small roll, but I would suggest buying a Cat5 patch cable at the dollar store or a thrift store and cutting one of the ends off.
