write a few paragraphs to describe why the point of view of Girl and structure of it
Question:
write a few paragraphs to describe why the point of view of "Girl" and structure of it matter (not as a story with traditional beginning, middle, and end). Who is the "speaker" or "speakers," how do you know? What is the point of view (see the intro to your book)? Be sure you name this point of view and make the argument for why you think this is the case!
Also, discuss what it means that Chopin's story ends the way it does. Who "gets the last word" and why does this matter to our understanding of the story? How does it add to the meaning of it? Again, just a few short paragraphs. Be sure to include quotations in your answers.
You shouldn't need more than a page and a half or two pages to complete this thoroughly. Be sure to use the correct MLA heading (four lines on left with your name, mine, course and date). Be sure to correctly cite your page numbers in MLA style for your quotations, check for mechanics and grammar (sentence level writing issues). This is a bit more formal writing in tone than discussion postings. No Works Cited page is necessary, but parenthetical citations are. Format generally looks like this: In Chopin's short story, she writes, "quote quote quote" (49). Note that the parenthetical ends BEFORE the period. It also is NOT part of the quotation.
