You are an HR manager and you're presenting an overview of the law that HR managers must be familiar with in order to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently, protecting the rights of the employee, as well as the employer. You are presenting to small group of new interns who are studying HR Management in college and who are working at the firm for the summer. Your objective is to familiarize these interns with some of the most important laws and samples of cases related to those laws. Please consider your Unit 8 readings and resources; along with all of your assignments throughout this course. Once you finish your review: 1. Complete a 10-slide power point presentation, from the point of view of a Human Resource Manager. Please see the "Requirements Section" for specific guidance on each slide. 2. Once completed, please submit the presentation as an assignment, but also upload your final project to our designated Unit 8 discussion board. This will provide your fellow students an opportunity to see what you have accomplished and provide comments and feedback. There is no participation requirement for this discussion board; however, participation is highly encouraged. 3. Please note that Slide 9 will review your learning during our Unit 8 work. On this slide, please explain the eligibility criteria and benefits provided by unemployment insurance. Your Unit 8 resources go into great detail on this topic. Requirements: • Limited to 10 Slides total: Please follow the following slide template: o Slide 1 - Introduction o Slide 2 - Employment Law Overview (Unit 1) Slide 3 - The Hiring Process (Unit 2) o o Slide 4 - Managing a Diverse Workforce (Unit 3) Slide 5 - Title VII (Unit 4) o o Slide 6 - Wages, Hours, Benefits and Pay Equity (Unit 5) Slide 7 - Terms and Conditions of Employment (Unit 6) Slide 8 Privacy on the Job (Unit 7) O o Slide 9 - Terminating Employment (Unit 8) o Slide 10 - Resources • For each topical slide, include a brief presentation of the topic (i.e., define the topic, cite a case, and describe how this impacts the intern's work as an HR manager). In addition, include detailed speaker notes for each slide (like a script of what you would say to the group about the topic). • Please do not copy & paste information from your previous assignments. Rather, use them as a reference to provide feedback in your notes section for each slide.
