The Federal Reserve is more than some far away organization doing things we could never understand. They are a real and regularly meeting to figure out what is best for our economy right now. In this assignment, you will be going directly to the source. You will be utilizing the information you learned in this lesson to decode and understand the most recent activity done by the Federal Reserve.
Instructions
Go to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve website.
Read and review the most recent Meeting Statement. This is a summary of the most recent meeting that explains the actions the Fed has taken. You may want to keep the text nearby as you read to help you understand what you are reading clearly. You may also want to take notes on the statement as well.
Use the information from the statement to write a newspaper article explaining the most recent activity of the fed. Your article should include a brief explanation of what the Federal Reserve is in your article, an explanation of the most recent activities taken by the Federal Reserve, your opinion on what the outcome might be of those recent activities.
Review the Recent Actions by the Fed Rubric before starting your article to better understand how you will be assessed on this assignment. (You'll see the rubric when you click into this assignment.)
Once you have completed your article, paste the text into the textbox and submit it for grading.
