The Environmental Protection Agency examined the impact of farming activities on water contamination in 43 localities throughout the Southeast. The tonnage of chemicals introduced by corporate farms was measured in relation to the level of contaminants in parts per million. Using chemicals as the explanatory variable test the hypothesis for the regression coefficient at the 1% level based on the preliminary computations presented here. Since this is a large sample, rely on the Z-test.
