Each year, Computerworld magazine reports the Datapro ratings of all computer software vendors. Vendors are rated on a scale from 1 to 4 (1 = poor, 4 = excellent) in such areas as reliability, efficiency, ease of installation, and ease of use by a random sample of software users. A software vendor wants to determine whether its product has a higher mean Datapro rating than a rival vendor’s product.
