You are conducting a small study at your hospital looking at infants born in the first 24 hours after the conclusion of a hurricane. You classify prematurity status as full term (0) if the infants are born after 37 weeks of gestation and premature (1) if they are born before 37 weeks of gestation. You measure birth weight in grams at the time of delivery. You conduct a t-test to see whether the mean birth weights differ between the premature and full-term infants.
