Talk to MIS professionals at a variety of organizations and determine the extent to which CASE tools are used in the creation and editing of entity-relationship diagrams. Try to determine whether they use CASE tools for this purpose; which CASE tools are used; and why, when, and how they are used. In companies that do not use CASE tools for this purpose, determine why not and what would have to change in order to use them.
