Perform the exergy analysis of the recuperated gas turbine of Exercise 7.15 knowing that 

i) The exergy input of the system is 14.26 MW, 

ii) The chemical exergy of the flue gas is 11 kJ/kg, and iii) the environment is at 15°C and 1 bar. Draw the Grassman diagram of the system. If you were the engineer charged with deciding which component could be improved first, which one would you choose and why?

Calculate the rate of exergy loss of each component of the example steam power plant treated in Section 7.2. Cooling water is available at environmental conditions, which are T0 = 15°C and P0 = 1 bar. The outlet pressure of the cooling water pump is 2 bar and the isentropic efficiency of this pump is 75 %. The temperature rise of the cooling water in the condenser equals 10 K. The exergy flow of the fuel to the boiler is 80 MW and assume that the fuel is available at environmental conditions. Determine also the exergetic efficiencies of the components and comment on the result.
