Sula creates a new type of comfortable pants called Zamis, which can be worn by either gender. Sula registers the name Zami as a trademark. The pants are so comfortable that they quickly become a huge market hit and are known far and wide for their comfort. Within a year, the word Zami becomes a slang term for something that is supremely comfortable. For instance, someone trying on a shoe in a shoe store would say, “Oh yes, this is definitely zami” (meaning that the shoe felt wonderful). The term also starts to be used by the media – in television shows, movies, and the like. While appreciating the success of her pants, Sula does not approve of the widespread use of her trademarked name and wants to protect it. What do you advise her to do?
